In the summer of 2000 when my husband and I moved from Washington DC to London I was most fortunate to be introduced to David Hur by a friend. David spent time getting to know me, my lifestyle, my likes and dislikes and the look and feeling I wanted for our new home. Very importantly, David helped me set a realistic budget and all of the work was completed within that budget and on time.

Working with his incredible team he quickly transformed and furnished a very tired duplex in Belgravia into a sophisticated, elegant, yet comfortable London home. All the works were undertaken while we were away and so we never endured a single moment of inconvenience.

David's attention to detail and his eye for colour, texture and suitability reflect his unique talent and perfectionism. David and I continue to work together on our Wilton Crescent home and we constantly update things as they need it and the work is always done when we are absent.

Our most recent renovation in 2009 included a total redecoration of the inside and the terrace exterior paintwork which was executed flawlessly and within 3 weeks. We have plans to re-do the bathrooms, closet space and replace the kitchen.

David's attention to detail is immaculate. His eye for colour and texture very impressive. He understands how to maximise space and light; aware, at the same time, of the realities of household needs.

For us, he removed the stress of domestic rennovation and we are delighted with the results.

Over the years I have not ceased to be amazed at the sensitivity, creativity and workmanship to detail that David has progressively achieved. He creates an ambiance retaining the integrity of the space while magnifying its details.

David Tudor, South Kensington

I was introduced to David through a mutual friend and he recently took charge of the re-decoration of my apartment in South Kensington.

David immediately understood what I wanted to achieve and developed a co-ordinated and thoroughly practical scheme that was wholly appropriate for the apartment. The subtle application of his signature colours completely transformed the living space.

David ensured that I was kept fully informed of the progress of the works, which he personally supervised and delivered within budget and on time.

It was a pleasure to work with a professional like David, and he and I continue to work together on other projects.

Private Client, Kensington

David refurbished our lovely apartment in London's Kensington while we lived abroad in Tokyo.

What we wanted was a broadly scoped make-over of an old flat so it could be let. As we lived abroad, much of the planning was done via e-mail, and I only met David twice before the work started. The first time for an introduction, and the second time to discuss the plan. David made suggestions that turned our mid-20th century flat into a completely modern, updated property.

Once the work started, David kept us up-to-date on the work in progress. All e-mails were answered almost immediately, and he sent detailed photographic reports of the work on almost a weekly basis. It's hard to express how much this really helped keep at bay our concerns about having work done while being absent overseas.

The work progressed smoothly, finished on time and within expected budget range. My family and I are very happy with David and his team of craftsmen.
